Lodge a Complaint

The Commission is mandated by the Telecommunications Act (2009) to regulate the telecommunications sector and as such, maintains its policy of assisting complainants to address complaints directly to their service provider, as the first step towards resolving individual problems. However, the Commission can be requested or may, of its own volition, carry out investigations into matters related to market, service providers, services, anti-competition or other such issues.

Type of Complaint

A three-year rolling budget is presented to the Evaluation Committee for its approval before the end of every financial year for their approval. The budget includes the Commission's estimates for its revenue and expenditure for the following three years.

The Commission is not funded by parliamentary budget appropriations but through services licences fees paid to the Commission by telecommunications service operators. In the exercise of its statutory powers and functions the Commission is not subject to the direction and control of government Ministers.

Approved budgets are public documents and can only be changed by the Evaluation Committee. Copies of the budget can be obtained by contacting the Commission.
